#Dd wrt superchannel activation key full
I assume their channels can be set to full 20MHz width, with standard 5GHz channels, even while the PtP card uses the superchannel feature ? I will have a mix of additional SR5 / XR5 (only Atheros) cards in the 2348-4 slots acting as bridged APs to separate sector antennas. Since the doc for the superchannel feature is rather minimal, could you help with a couple of questions ?
#Dd wrt superchannel activation key upgrade
Since I bought the router from ebay with v24 final professional already activated, I guess all I need is the key out of purchase process to do the upgrade ? I also scanned your store web site to find how the superchannel feature is sold. I have spent the last day testing the DD-WRT GW2348-4 with an SR5 in WDS-Station mode linking to a WILI-S box with a CM9 in WDS-AP mode, both set to half channel, and the WILI-S set to a "center" frequency to confirm that their WDS, WPA2-AES and half channel modes coexist well. Thanks BrainSlayer! That helped to point me in the right direction. "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Sounds like a Mac to me." - Louis Rossmann Its sysctl channelbw (/proc/sys/dev/wifi0/channelbw) The dd-wrt madwifi does not use iwpriv ath0 chan_bw but with regulatory enabled it will stay at the center frequencies since its forced by the goverment to use these The superchannel feature of dd-wrt allows 5 mhz stepping selection for all modes (quarter, half, full). I just worry that by the time he recovers from summer vacation, it will be time for Oktoberfest ! But it seems that may not be available in the version of Madwifi in V24 of DD-WRT.ĭoes anyone know if I am trying the impossible, or have any suggestions where I might look as to how I can alter these channel frequencies ? But, although DD-WRT has a half channel option, it looks like it is stuck with the standard "center" frequencies, at least in the GUI. Problem is that I want to replace the remote end of the PtP connection with a 2348-4 running DD-WRT due to all the extra AP features that are available. These extra channel selections have been a real advantage, because where the center channels in "half" mode had almost a 2% packet loss, some of the low or high choices have less than 0.2% loss. So for example, when set to Half, in addition to the standard "center" frequencies of: WILI-S (and in a similar way Ubiquiti AirOS) have the ability to set half or quarter channels, but they have the added feature of picking frequencies for those modes that are above and below the standard numbers. The link is about 12 mi and crosses a rather congested radio traffic end of town. 11a PtP link running WILI-S at both ends.
